You know when you are working on a project your time is money and you have to finish your project as soon as possible and start another one. So, to work faster and finish your projects in lower time is your real success in Sewing and Quilting. 

For me, a speed of 1500 SPM is enough to satisfy me. I would like to say that I have finally done something worthy of time after working on some project with this Sewing and Quilting Machine. As I mentioned earlier also that it is not used for home purposes generally because it is a semi-industrial sewing and quilting machine. And for business purposes, you need a faster sewing machine for your projects and here JUKI TL-2000Qi fills up your needs. 

Removable Extension Table

JUKI TL-2000Qi offers a removable extension table so that you can extend your quilting space. This removable extension table adds almost 13 inches more to your quilting space. Tell me honestly, isn’t that enough for you to handle large materials in quilting?

During my experience, I never felt that I was run out of space for working with Jeans, Curtains, etc. If you are a fan of large Sewing Spaces then you can consider this one to have a better experience.

LED Light for Sewing Area

Sometimes we feel the need to add a light to the sewing area but if you are considering TL-2000Qi then you do not need to worry about that. It has its own LED light especially for the sewing area to fulfill your needs.

These are very little things but I think these should be a part of every sewing machine because they provide ease to a Sewer.

One-Pedal Operation

With the use of one paddle operation, you can work even faster on your projects. You can focus on your Sewing and control it with a single pedal.

It is really helpful when you have large tasks to finish in a very short time and you want to work fast.

It comes with an automatic needle threader. It is really helpful for a person like me whose eyesight is not so good. It also saves your time to insert the thread into the needle. Obviously, it doesn’t take so much time to insert the thread into the needle but still, it matters when you are working consistently.

Aluminum Die-Cast Frame

The JUKI TL-2000Qi frame is not made of plastic. Its whole frame and base are made up of aluminum which makes it durable. This is another reason for considering this Sewing and Quilting machine for your projects at the industrial level. 

Obviously, Sewing Machines made up of plastic can have less weight but also they may not be as strong and durable as compared to ones that are made up of aluminum. 

Lightweight & Portable

Stitch Length Control

JUKI TL-2000Qi also provides you with an option to control your stitch length. You can control your stitch length by a dial from 1mm to 6mm as you can see in the image below.

Fun fact: You can also go free motion by choosing 0 on this dial.

Large Throat Space for Quilting

It is now very easy to operate for quilting purposes with this sewing machine due to its large Throat Space.

This sewing machine offers you 9” in length and 7” in height which makes it very easy while you quilt. Getting run out of showing space is something that troubles me and is very irritating for me personally. But I am happy with this machine Throat Space. 

Low Vibrations

As its frame is made up of aluminum so it produces very low vibrations and controls the recoil. If you are an advanced Sewer so you might know how much heavy-duty machines produce vibrations on the table. 

But it runs very smoothly without any interruption and produces very low vibrations. This is another thing that you should consider while buying a sewing machine. I also recommend this personally because high vibrations and sound definitely affect you directly.

Easy Bobbin Replacement

It is very easy to replace Bobbin in TL-2000Qi because of its vast Bobbin-Area space. You can easily place its Bobbin after winding thread on it.

The size of its Bobbin is also large and you do not need to take it out to wind the thread again and again.

Needle Control

You do not need to control your needle up and down manually because of its automatic needle control feature. Sometimes, people are used to controlling the needle manually. So, if you are also used to controlling your needle manually then you can also do so by not using this Needle Control Feature and moving the needle manually by hand. 

Knee Lifter Lever

I also do not like to adjust the presser foot manually again and again. This is another thing that I like most about this sewing machine it provides. It provides Knee Lifter Lever by which you can adjust your pressure foot automatically without adjusting it manually. You can adjust it as high as 12 mm. 

Believe me, it’s a great option for quilters who adjust the Presser Foot manually again and again. 

Automatic Thread Cutter

Thanks to JUKI for the Automatic Thread Cutting system, by which, you can trim both Top and Bobbin thread by pressing only a single button. It also provides you ease in your Sewing and Quilting experience.

As always if a Sewing Machine offers some great features, obviously it will have some drawbacks. So, here are some cons of JUKI TL-2000Qi,

The price of JUKI TL-2000Qi varies from platform to platform. Usually, JUKI TL-2000Qi costs you somewhere $700 to $800 and this is a considerable amount for most people.

Most people can not afford it so they may say it is over-priced. But let me tell you that it has the best price according to the features, it is providing. 

If you can afford this sewing machine in this price range then I will recommend you to buy this one. If you are tight on your budget then you can consider Singer Stylist Quantum 9960.

Straight Stitch

JUKI TL-2000Qi only provides you with a straight stitch option so you can not do some kind of stylish stitches on this machine. 

You can use it for basic and simple Sewing or Quilting. And also I have already mentioned that it is for advanced users so beginners often want to have some different kinds of stitching options that’s why they are not recommended to consider this sewing machine. 

Regular Maintenance

I didn’t want to add this one as a drawback because I believe that every sewing machine should be taken care of its maintenance regularly. But for this machine, it is mandatory to clean it and oil it on a regular basis as per your use.

I would say that this is not a big problem that should not change your decision from buying this perfect Sewing and Quilting Machine.

Mechanical in Operation

JUKI TL-2000Qi is a Mechanical Sewing Machine and it is its big disadvantage if you are in love with Computerized Sewing Machines. You should consider it if working with a Mechanical Sewing Machine or Computerized Sewing Machine does not matter to you.

Other than its type, you will get quality stitching and a smooth experience.

It does not mean Juki TL-2000Qi is not worth buying, it is worth buying if you do not want to work on large and heavy projects. And, if you want to spend less on buying a sewing machine then Juki TL-2000Qi is your way to go.
